Construction Engineer VII

About the role

Fluor is seeking a Construction Engineer VII to provide technical support for construction activities on large‑scale and medium‑scale projects. The role bridges design intent and field execution, ensuring work is built to specification while meeting quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Support craftsmen, foremen, and project supervision with technical interpretation of design documents.
• Initiate corrective actions when construction deviates from the scope of work.
• Coordinate and implement the project quality program when managed by the construction engineering department.
• Maintain effective communication between Fluor and design engineers to ensure timely flow of design information.
• Report status of construction engineering functions to project management.
• Provide discipline‑specific engineering support on both large stand‑alone and smaller multi‑discipline projects.
• Assist with any additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Accredited four‑year engineering degree (or global equivalent) and at least twelve years of relevant experience.
• Relevant professional certification or registration where required.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with management, clients, contractors, and vendors.
• Ability to understand and apply local, state/province, and federal statutes and guidelines.
• Detail‑oriented and capable of working efficiently under time constraints.
