Commercial Transactional Lawyer

About the role

We are seeking a Commercial Transactional Lawyer to provide strategic legal support for complex commercial operations within an international, dynamic environment. Based in Portugal and working remotely, you will play a pivotal role in drafting, negotiating and managing agreements that drive business growth and operational success.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including supplier, service, licensing, distribution, partnership, NDA and joint‑venture contracts.
• Provide strategic guidance on commercial risks, contractual obligations and compliance with applicable Australian laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure agreements align with business objectives and operational goals.
• Support corporate transactions such as mergers, acquisitions and reorganisations through legal due diligence and documentation preparation.
• Analyse business strategies from a legal perspective and deliver practical recommendations.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of commercial legislation, regulations and contract law developments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial transactions, corporate law or a related legal field.
• Strong knowledge of Australian contract law, commercial regulations and business practices.
• Proven ability to draft, review, negotiate and advise on a variety of commercial agreements.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently in a remote setting.
• Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with international teams.
