Certified Pharmacy Technician

About the role

We are looking for a Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our pharmacy team. Working under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, you will help ensure safe and efficient prescription processing while delivering a friendly customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist with dispensing prescriptions, verifying medication accuracy, and checking for potential drug interactions.
• Use pharmacy computer systems to enter patient and drug information and process third‑party claims.
• Operate the pharmacy cash register, handle cash transactions, and provide assistance to customers in the over‑the‑counter area.
• Answer telephone calls that do not require pharmacist intervention, including calls to physicians.
• Support inventory management by receiving, unpacking, and stocking pharmaceutical shipments.
• Report prescription errors promptly and adhere to company policies on quality improvement and good‑faith dispensing.
• If PTCB certified, coach fellow technicians on system use and register operations.

Required profile

• Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB certification preferred).
• Ability to work under pharmacist supervision and follow state, federal, and company regulations.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to engage with patients.

Required skills

• Proficiency with pharmacy computer systems and cash register operation.
