Business Controller – Operations

About the role

As a Business Controller – Operations you will join the SDO team in Alcantra and act as the trusted financial partner for Business Operations, helping to improve financial performance and predictability across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct financial and business controlling, explain deviations and identify root causes together with Finance Business Partners.
• Prepare financial plans and rolling forecasts, upload data into Jedox, and support Group R&A with inventory accounting and reconciliation.
• Analyze purchase price variance, purchase orders and provide insights on maintenance costs using BI reporting on spare parts usage.
• Monitor CAPEX and fixed assets, collaborate with the Asset Accounting team and provide inputs for asset capitalization.
• Communicate updates, issues and risks in the controlling process to the Reporting & Analytics CoE Solution Lead.
• Identify and implement process improvements to extend the scope of business controlling.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance; MBA, CMA or CPA preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in business controlling or FP&A, preferably in a shared‑service or multinational environment.
• Strong understanding of financial and management reporting, forecasting and controlling activities.
• Strategic thinking, analytical mindset and excellent communication skills in English.
