Associate Integrations Engineer

About the role

PenFed is seeking an Associate Integrations Engineer to join its IT team at the San Patricio Office Center in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico. Working under direct supervision, you will support the design, development, and maintenance of APIs and integrations that connect PenFed’s enterprise, core, member‑facing, and employee‑facing applications.

Key responsibilities

• Study assigned systems and technologies to understand PenFed applications and related programming languages.
• Develop, test, and document MuleSoft‑based integrations and APIs.
• Assist in troubleshooting tickets, researching root causes, and delivering corrective code.
• Present solutions to senior technical staff for review and guidance.
• Follow PenFed’s Change Control and compliance procedures for all production changes.
• Maintain and update system documentation as needed.

• Strong analytical skills to investigate problems and propose solutions.
• Ability to work collaboratively with managers, team members, and external partners.
