About the role

The Vice President, Global Debit & APM Partnerships leads Mastercard’s worldwide strategy for digital wallets and alternative payment methods. Reporting to the Senior Vice President, the role works closely with product, acceptance, digital and commercial teams to translate partnership opportunities into measurable commercial outcomes. The VP is responsible for driving debit growth through innovative APM collaborations and ensuring Mastercard’s relevance in the evolving payments ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the global strategy for digital wallets and alternative payment methods (APMs).
• Lead a team focused on APM and wallet partnerships, ensuring disciplined execution and alignment with debit growth priorities.
• Translate strategic partnerships into measurable commercial outcomes across regions.
• Collaborate with regional and global product, acceptance, digital, and commercial partners to drive debit usage and new use cases.
• Balance near‑term pipeline and commercialization initiatives with long‑term positioning to future‑proof Mastercard’s network.
• Support Mastercard’s broader priorities of innovation, inclusive growth, and network relevance.

Required profile

• Extensive senior‑level experience in payments, digital wallets, or alternative payment methods.
• Proven track record of leading global product or partnership strategies.
• Strong ability to work with cross‑functional teams across regions and functions.
• Executive leadership skills with experience managing high‑performing teams.
• Strategic mindset focused on both short‑term commercial delivery and long‑term market positioning.
