System Administrator

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Windows System Administrator to join our team in Portugal. You will be responsible for maintaining our Windows Server infrastructure, with a strong focus on Active Directory, Exchange, and Office 365 services.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, maintain and support Windows Server environments, especially Active Directory.
• Manage AD objects such as users, groups, computers, GPOs and permissions.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve issues related to AD, DNS, DHCP and authentication services.
• Administer, maintain and support Microsoft Exchange (online and/or on‑prem) and Office 365 environments.
• Ensure system availability, performance, security and compliance with internal standards.
• Perform regular updates, patching, backups and recovery tests.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security and support teams on operations and projects.
• Document configurations, procedures and operational processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Windows System Administrator with hands‑on Active Directory management.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, AD, GPOs, DNS, DHCP and authentication mechanisms.
• Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and administration tasks.
• Experience administering Microsoft Exchange and Office 365, including Exchange Online and Hybrid setups.
• Good troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• EU citizenship or Portuguese work visa/residency.
• Availability to work on‑site two to three times per week.
