Sports Staff – Cruise Ship (Worldwide)

About the role

Join a world‑class cruise line as a Sports Staff member, delivering active and entertaining experiences for guests across a variety of onboard facilities. You will lead, demonstrate and supervise sports and fitness activities while ensuring safety and guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Interact continuously with guests, hosting adult and family recreational programs.
• Serve as Master of Ceremonies for Sports Deck events and Vitality programs.
• Issue and demonstrate use of equipment such as climbing wall, Flowrider, in‑line skating, golf simulator, volleyball, basketball, ping‑pong and shuffleboard.
• Lead fitness classes, organize tournaments and act as MC when required.
• Enforce safety rules, respond to emergencies and report incidents.
• Assemble, disassemble and maintain all activity equipment; conduct regular inventory checks.
• Maintain a clean, orderly Sports Deck and update daily activity information.
• Handle guest complaints professionally and follow up to resolution.
• Prepare activity reports using computer systems and attend mandatory meetings and rehearsals.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year recent experience as a physical‑fitness or recreational‑sports instructor in resorts, sports facilities or similar environments.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and ability to work in a multicultural, fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Operation of climbing‑wall equipment.
• Operation of Flowrider surf simulator.
• Operation of golf‑simulator systems.
• Spotlight and stage‑equipment handling.
• Basic computer reporting skills.
