Software Engineer II – Integrations (Lisbon)

About the role

PagerDuty is looking for a Software Engineer II to join its Integrations team in Lisbon. You will help build and maintain the services that connect PagerDuty with the many tools customers rely on, using modern APIs, webhooks, OAuth and AI‑enhanced development workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and ship backend applications, micro‑services, APIs and webhooks that power reliable integrations.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional engineers to ensure scalability, high availability and security of integration services.
• Participate in on‑call rotation, triage production incidents and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Help define best practices for engineering excellence across the design, development, testing and release cycles.

Required profile

• At least 4 years of experience building large‑scale, customer‑facing systems.
• Proven ability to learn new languages and platforms quickly.
• Experience operating cloud services, preferably AWS.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and eagerness to work with AI coding tools.

Required skills

• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Java, Ruby or Elixir.
• Hands‑on experience with APIs, webhooks and OAuth protocols.
• Familiarity with cloud environments, especially AWS.
• Experience building micro‑services and scalable databases.
