Senior French Copywriter – Lisbon

About the role

Mastercard’s Services team is looking for a senior copywriter who is fluent in French to create compelling, on‑brand content for its global financial‑services and merchant clients. Based in Lisbon, you will work in a fast‑paced, data‑driven environment, shaping the voice of campaigns that reach French‑speaking markets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead copywriting and conceptual development for multi‑channel campaigns, ensuring French localisation and cultural relevance.
• Produce short‑form and long‑form marketing copy for TV, online video, digital banners, social platforms, print and direct‑response assets.
• Translate strategic briefs into clear, persuasive messaging that aligns with Mastercard’s brand character.
• Present ideas and work‑in‑progress to internal teams and client stakeholders.
• Identify emerging trends and new opportunities to grow business in French‑speaking territories.

Required profile

• Proven copywriting experience in a creative agency or on the client side, preferably with French agencies.
• Track record of writing direct‑response marketing copy.
• Ability to conceive and execute campaign concepts across a variety of media.
• Strong understanding of marketing insights and financial‑services context.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple deliverables.
