Product Designer – Design System

About the role

We are looking for a Design System Designer to shape and scale the design foundations of our UKI Design System. Working across three UKI brands, you will define, evolve, and maintain a robust system that enables consistent, high‑quality user experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and evolve a scalable design system used across multiple products and brands.
• Define and maintain core foundations such as colour, typography, spacing, layout, and accessibility.
• Create, refine, and govern reusable components, patterns, and interaction models.
• Partner closely with engineers to ensure components are production‑ready and align with code implementations.
• Support product designers by enabling efficient, consistent, and flexible design workflows.
• Document system principles, usage guidelines, and best practices to drive adoption.
• Ensure consistency, accessibility, and quality across products while allowing for brand expression.
• Gather feedback from design and development teams and iterate on the system accordingly.
• Explore and experiment with AI tools and emerging technologies to improve system scalability and team efficiency.
• Advocate for design system thinking and standards across teams.

Required profile

• Experience as a Design System Designer, Product Designer with strong design system ownership, or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of design systems, component libraries, and scalable UI patterns.
• Excellent UI, interaction design, and visual consistency across platforms.
• Proficiency in Figma (including components, variants, and libraries).
• Portfolio showcasing strong design craft, system thinking, and real‑world application of design systems.
