HR Business Partner

About the role

We are expanding our Luxembourg‑based professional services firm into Porto and are looking for an HR Business Partner to act as a strategic liaison between HR and business units. You will partner with leadership to align HR strategies with business goals and support talent management, performance improvement, and employee relations.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute talent acquisition strategies aligned with business needs.
• Organise and coordinate employee training sessions and reporting.
• Design onboarding programmes and support new hires (including interns) during their first year.
• Develop career paths, identify high‑potential talent and manage talent initiatives.
• Guide managers and employees through performance assessments, goal setting and salary reviews.
• Provide HR advice, conflict resolution and support for employee relations issues.
• Prepare payroll inputs, liaise with external payroll provider and ensure timely salary payments.
• Conduct exit interviews and deliver insights for continuous improvement.
• Produce regular HR reports for business unit heads and the HR Director.
• Lead and contribute to cross‑functional HR projects to enhance organisational effectiveness.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar HR Business Partner role, preferably in a service‑provider environment.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
• Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all organisational levels.
• Strong team orientation with outstanding organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Proactive, solutions‑oriented mindset with the capacity to anticipate needs.
