Director of Corporate Development

About the role

The Director of Corporate Development will own the organisation’s inorganic growth strategy and drive long‑term expansion through acquisitions, strategic alliances, joint ventures and major commercial partnerships. Reporting to the CFO, the role is fully remote, offers high autonomy and direct exposure to senior leadership decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Build and manage a disciplined pipeline of acquisition opportunities aligned with strategic priorities.
• Apply a consistent screening and scoring methodology covering strategic fit, financial returns, technology, integration complexity and risk.
• Prepare concise opportunity assessments, valuation, transaction and sensitivity models, including synergy and financing analyses.
• Coordinate cross‑functional due diligence (financial, legal, technology, operational).
• Lead diligence on target leadership, background and reputation, translating findings into deal‑structure recommendations.
• Support transaction structuring, negotiations and preparation of executive/board‑level investment materials.
• Track completed transactions against investment theses and report integration costs, realized synergies and performance variances.
• Develop and manage transaction and integration budgets.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in corporate development, M&A or investment banking.
• Strong analytical discipline combined with commercial judgment and a low‑ego, execution‑oriented mindset.
• Proven ability to work independently in a remote environment and influence senior stakeholders.
