Dining Room Attendant

About the role

The Dining Room Attendant supports the kitchen and service teams to deliver high‑quality food service in a busy hotel environment. You will ensure that guests receive properly portioned, attractive dishes while maintaining a clean and safe work area.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate assistance needs to the Chef during peak periods.
• Notify the manager of any product that does not meet specifications.
• Check and record appliance and food temperatures.
• Monitor food quantities and portion sizes, ensuring proper garnish and presentation.
• Serve food onto appropriate receptacles and assist guests according to company standards.
• Set up, clean, and break down work stations; wash and disinfect kitchen areas, tools, knives, and equipment.
• Prepare ingredients – portion, chop, store, wash, and peel fresh fruits and vegetables.
• Prepare and cook food while following safety, security, and hygiene policies.
• Maintain a professional uniform appearance and uphold confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Perform physical tasks such as standing for long periods, lifting up to 25 lb, and moving items.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No prior related work experience required.
• Ability to follow company policies, safety procedures, and maintain confidentiality.
• Physical capability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and carry objects up to 25 lb.
• Professional demeanor and clear communication skills.
