COA Licensing Attorney

About the role

IQVIA is seeking a COA Licensing Attorney to provide legal advice and services across contract, employment, commercial, regulatory and compliance matters within an assigned region. The role will support business operations, manage legal risks and coordinate with external counsel as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Review, draft and negotiate a broad range of commercial contracts while ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory and organizational policies.
• Manage the contract lifecycle, including pre‑contract discussions, negotiations and amendments, to satisfy internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide employment law advice, partnering with Human Resources on discrimination, harassment, health and safety, hiring, termination and employee rights issues.
• Advise on intellectual property, real estate, data privacy and related regulatory requirements.
• Analyze legal data to assess litigation strategies, research statutes and case law, and prepare legal files.
• Coordinate litigation matters, work with external counsel, and implement follow‑up actions or policy changes.
• Maintain corporate entities in the region, ensuring ongoing legal and regulatory compliance.
• Support mergers and acquisitions activities, including due diligence, documentation and stakeholder coordination.

Required profile

• LLB (Hons) or equivalent degree from a recognized university.
• Strong organizational, planning and project‑management abilities.
• Solid business acumen with an understanding of commercial implications.
• Deep knowledge of government regulations affecting operations and the pharmaceutical industry, including the drug development lifecycle.
• Ability to work creatively and effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
• Solution‑oriented decision‑making and exceptional attention to detail.
