About the role

We are seeking an experienced Beverage Technologist to join our fast‑growing production team in Montijo, Portugal. The successful candidate will drive the development and optimisation of beer, kombucha, soft‑drink and other functional beverage recipes, ensuring consistent quality and supporting the scale‑up from pilot to industrial production.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and improve beverage recipes and formulations.
  • Participate in flavor development and organoleptic evaluation.
  • Support new product development from concept through industrial production.
  • Work with brewing, fermentation, carbonation and beverage processing technologies.
  • Monitor and optimise production and fermentation parameters.
  • Support filtration, transfer and filling processes.
  • Participate in production planning and continuous process improvement.
  • Ensure product quality consistency and compliance with specifications.
  • Maintain production documentation, operational logs and process records.
  • Monitor raw material quality and block non‑compliant materials.
  • Participate in HACCP and food‑safety procedures, including sanitation and CIP cleaning.
  • Monitor technical condition of equipment and uphold hygiene and safety standards.

Required profile

  • Proven experience in the beverage industry (beer, kombucha, soft drinks, functional or fermentation‑based beverages).
  • Background in food manufacturing or production environments.
  • Experience in flavor development and recipe formulation.
  • Understanding of brewing, fermentation, carbonation and beverage processing technologies.
  • Higher education in Food Technology, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Food Engineering, Brewing Science or related field.
  • Knowledge of HACCP and food‑safety standards.
  • Hands‑on approach with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Fluent English.
