About the role

We are looking for a motivated Kitchen Assistant to join our food service team. The role involves routine preparation, service, and sanitation of hot and cold meals in a facility that serves patients or residents.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine clean‑up and sanitation of kitchen, dining, and serving areas.
• Prepare, serve, and store food according to standardized recipes, approved menus, and facility policies.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal food safety regulations.
• Apply proper food handling techniques to maintain quality and safety.
• Follow sanitation procedures to provide a safe and healthy environment.
• Monitor menu and special‑diet compliance; report any dietary concerns to the dietician or supervisor.
• Assist with additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced kitchen environment.
• Attention to detail and commitment to food safety standards.

Required skills

• ServSafe Certification or a comparable food‑safety certification (where required by state or facility).
