Tax Compliance Accountant – 18‑month contract

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join a global energy leader on an 18‑month contract. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely indirect tax compliance while working closely with local tax and accounting teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, validate and file indirect tax returns.
• Guarantee compliance with tax obligations and service‑level agreements.
• Analyze tax data and reconciliations, flagging inconsistencies and risks.
• Monitor and resolve exceptions related to compliance processes.
• Collaborate with local tax teams, advisors and accounting colleagues.
• Identify and implement process improvements, including automation initiatives.

Required profile

• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Proven experience in indirect tax compliance.
• Knowledge of SAP is highly valued.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
