Patient Transportation Representative

About the role

The Patient Transportation Representative provides safe, reliable transportation for members to and from health service centers across Puerto Rico. This field‑based position requires extensive travel, occasional office attendance for meetings or training, and a strong focus on customer service and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Drive members/patients to designated health service locations and back.
• Contact affiliates to confirm coordinated services and update members on pickup status.
• Record service details, adjust status in the platform, and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Maintain punctuality, attention to detail, and empathetic communication throughout each trip.
• Travel up to 100% of the time within the assigned region, often more than three days per week.

Required profile

• Authorization for Medical Care certification issued by the Bureau of Transportation and Other Public Services.
• Category 4 Driver’s License (Chauffeur’s license) in good standing.
• Current CPR certification (or obtain within 15 days of hire).
• High school diploma/GED preferred; associate degree in a health‑related field is a plus.
• At least one year of customer‑service experience, preferably with a geriatric population.
• Comfort using mobile devices and transportation‑related applications.
