Junior Bus Network Planner (Fixed-term)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Bus Network Planner to join Flix’s Europe Network Planning team in Lisbon. In this full‑time, one‑year fixed‑term role you will help shape and optimise our bus network, working closely with Business Development, Revenue Management and Commercial Excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and optimise FlixBus lines in collaboration with cross‑functional teams and local stakeholders.
• Coordinate activities related to line portfolio to ensure smooth network changes, launches and operational requests.
• Manage day‑to‑day communication with business partners and support operational demand.
• Prepare presentations, reports, analyses and recommendations for internal stakeholders.
• Analyse network performance and transport demand using various datasets to identify growth and optimisation opportunities.
• Derive data‑driven insights and present findings in a clear, structured manner to support decision‑making.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Transportation Management, Geography, Spatial Planning, Transportation Engineering, Logistics, Mathematics, Economics or a related field.
• First experience in network planning, transportation planning, mobility, analytics, consulting or a similar field is a strong plus.
• Passion for the transportation sector and strong interest in schedule and network planning.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a data‑driven mindset.
• Organised, proactive and collaborative with excellent communication skills.
• Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
