Head of Legal & Compliance

About the role

As Head of Legal & Compliance you will own how Amplemarket handles data, AI‑driven calling, and enterprise legal and security reviews. This is a build‑from‑scratch position that sits within product discussions rather than being an after‑thought.

Key responsibilities

• Define and manage TCPA compliance, consent, Do‑Not‑Call, call recording and AI‑voice disclosure rules, working closely with product and engineering.
• Lead the privacy program across GDPR, CCPA/CPRA and emerging US state regulations, handling DSARs, opt‑outs, data‑broker registration and DPIAs.
• Draft, negotiate and maintain customer and vendor contracts, DPAs and oversee enterprise security and privacy reviews.
• Partner with product teams to translate regulatory constraints into clear product requirements and influence roadmap planning.

Required profile

• 8+ years of combined law firm and in‑house experience, qualified to practice in the United States.
• Hands‑on expertise with privacy frameworks such as GDPR and CCPA/CPRA.
• Proven ability to advise product and engineering teams and to build a legal/compliance function from the ground up.
• Strong communication skills to make regulatory constraints understandable to non‑legal stakeholders.
• Experience in early‑stage or high‑growth environments, comfortable with both strategic and tactical responsibilities.
