FullStack Developer (React + Node)

About the role

Komodo Consulting is looking for a FullStack Developer with strong React and Node.js expertise to join a hybrid team in Portugal. You will work on a digital transformation project, building scalable serverless back‑ends and high‑performance front‑ends.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and maintain scalable backend services using serverless technologies such as AWS Lambda and Google Cloud Functions.
• Write clean, efficient, well‑documented code in Node.js and TypeScript.
• Design, develop, and evolve RESTful APIs and micro‑services.
• Collaborate with product, design, and QA teams to deliver features aligned with business goals.
• Ensure code quality through testing, peer reviews, and continuous improvement.
• Monitor and optimise application performance, identifying bottlenecks.
• Develop and maintain React‑based front‑end applications, handling state management and performance optimisation.
• Manage containerised workloads with Kubernetes and promote technical excellence within the team.

Required profile

• 3+ years of full‑stack development experience.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript and Node.js.
• Strong background in designing and building RESTful APIs and micro‑services.
• Hands‑on experience with React, including state management (Redux or Zustand) and Next.js.
• Experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration.
• Familiarity with GitHub or GitLab, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, and cloud platforms (AWS and/or GCP).
