Freelance Art Director (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Freelance Art Director to join our remote creative team in Portugal. You will lead the visual development of performance‑driven campaigns across social, digital, video, print and experiential channels, while exploring AI‑powered tools to boost ideation and production efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Conceptualise and design high‑impact creative assets for social media, digital ads, video, email, landing pages and other marketing channels.
• Adapt and produce assets for print, out‑of‑home, broadcast and multimedia formats as required.
• Collaborate with Account Management and Project Management to align work with client goals, timelines and deliverables.
• Generate innovative, strategic ideas that enhance brand storytelling and audience engagement.
• Integrate AI‑enabled creative tools into brainstorming, design exploration and production workflows.
• Maintain meticulous attention to detail while juggling multiple deadline‑driven projects.
• Participate in feedback sessions, creative reviews and collaborative brainstorming to refine concepts.

Required profile

• 1‑2+ years of experience in an agency or fast‑paced creative environment.
• Strong portfolio showcasing social‑first, performance‑focused campaigns across multiple platforms.
• Excellent visual storytelling, branding and creative strategy skills.
• Highly organised with the ability to manage several projects and revisions without sacrificing quality.
• Curiosity about emerging technologies, especially AI tools that support creative work.
