Electrical Project Manager – Data Centres

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead the electrical package on a large‑scale hyperscale data centre in Portugal. You will own the delivery from installation through commissioning, ensuring safety, schedule, budget and quality standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery of all electrical works across the project lifecycle.
• Manage subcontractors, package managers, engineers, supervisors and site teams.
• Coordinate design, procurement, installation, testing and commissioning activities.
• Monitor progress, identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Drive productivity through weekly programmes and look‑ahead schedules.
• Ensure compliance with specifications, client requirements and industry standards.
• Oversee labour, plant, material and resource planning.
• Maintain communication with clients, consultants and internal stakeholders.
• Chair coordination meetings with construction, QA/QC, H&S and BIM teams.
• Produce weekly progress reports covering programme, procurement, commercial variations, safety and risks.
• Support commissioning and handover to the client.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years’ experience delivering major electrical construction projects.
• Previous role as Electrical Project Manager or Senior Electrical Construction Manager.
• Experience with large‑scale data centre or mission‑critical projects.
• Electrical trade background or engineering qualification.
• Strong understanding of electrical distribution systems, testing, commissioning and QA/QC processes.
• Proven ability to manage project programmes, commercial performance and multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
