Commercial Assistant – Food & FMCG

About the role

We are seeking a highly organised Commercial Assistant to support the Commercial Director and the wider commercial team of a fast‑growing food and FMCG business in Lisbon. This full‑time, office‑based position offers exposure to key customers, product launches and commercial strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Commercial Director with key customer accounts and new business opportunities.
• Manage back‑office commercial tasks such as order processing, price‑list updates, proposals and customer documentation.
• Support the planning and execution of new product launches and introductions.
• Coordinate customer campaigns, promotions and specific requirements.
• Maintain accurate commercial records and ensure timely follow‑up with customers, suppliers and internal teams.
• Help with product quality and technical documentation when needed.
• Track actions, priorities and outstanding tasks, acting as a liaison between the commercial team and other departments.

Required profile

• Highly organised, detail‑focused and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proactive, commercially aware and comfortable working independently.
• Strong communicator and relationship builder.
• Experience in commercial administration, sales support or FMCG/food environments.
• Knowledge of chilled food, Portuguese retail or large distribution is a plus.
