Accountant

About the role

SBM Offshore is seeking an Accountant to manage accounting activities for local and international entities under IFRS and local GAAP. The role involves substantial tax and treasury responsibilities, supporting the Group’s financial integrity and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Apply Group accounting policies and internal control procedures (IcoFr framework).
• Participate in continuous improvement of accounting processes and tools.
• Execute monthly closing tasks and prepare monthly packages for partners.
• Analyze balance‑sheet data at consolidation level and produce IFRS and directional reports.
• Support contract analysis and manage related legal documents.
• Prepare audit packages, liaise with external auditors, and handle ad‑hoc requests from the Accounting Lead/Manager.
• Collaborate with the Tax Manager to prepare Group tax packages and ensure accurate data collection from partners.
• Participate in tax reporting, prepare financial statements for assigned entities, and support partners with their statements.

Required profile

• Business school or finance/accounting degree.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a related environment or audit firm.
• Knowledge of IFRS 15, IFRS 16, IAS 37, statutory accounting and international tax requirements.
• Familiarity with internal control frameworks and audit processes.
