About the role
We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our SSC – Accounting team at Sonae Sierra’s central offices in Lisbon. The role focuses on the accounting and statutory reporting of group companies under IFRS and Portuguese GAAP, supporting our real‑estate portfolio.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and ensure accurate monthly closing of accounts for Sonae Sierra group companies and third‑party shopping centre owners.
- Post invoices, manage accruals and deferrals, and perform trial balance analysis and control.
- Produce the consolidation “Package”, annual statutory accounts and the Simplified Corporate Information (IES).
- Maintain compliance with IFRS and local GAAP (SNC) throughout all accounting operations.
Required profile
- Degree in Accounting or Management.
- At least five years of experience in accounting or auditing.
- Fluent in English and Portuguese.
Required skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with SAP (preferred).
- Strong analytical thinking and high level of accuracy.
