Youth Programs Coordinator

About the role

Alpha School is looking for a dynamic Youth Programs Coordinator to join its Dorado, Puerto Rico campus. You will work directly with K‑8 students, using adaptive learning technology and hands‑on workshops to develop life‑skills such as public speaking, focus, teamwork, and constructive feedback.

Key responsibilities

• Coach students one‑on‑one and in small groups, using Coachbot analytics to identify and resolve learning obstacles.
• Apply Alpha’s motivation framework—including leaderboards, incentives, and weekly goal‑setting—to keep every learner on track.
• Design and lead hour‑long, interactive life‑skills workshops that emphasize practice over lecture.
• Administer Test2Pass mastery assessments and ensure students meet proficiency standards before advancing.
• Build high‑trust relationships with students so accountability feels motivating.

Required profile

• Strong belief in high standards and the ability to hold students to 100% of their goals.
• Comfortable working on‑site full‑time (40 hours/week) in Dorado.
• No formal teaching certification required; Spanish fluency is a plus.
• Passion for coaching, storytelling, and fostering student growth.

Required skills

• Proficiency with adaptive learning applications and data dashboards.
• Experience using analytics tools to track student progress.
