Youth Mentor – K-8 Adaptive Learning Coach

About the role

Alpha School is seeking a passionate Youth Mentor to support K-8 students at its Dorado campus. You will guide learners through adaptive learning apps, help them overcome academic roadblocks, and coach life‑skill workshops that build confidence and teamwork.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑on‑one motivation sessions using Coachbot analytics to identify and resolve learning gaps.
• Design and lead interactive, hour‑long workshops on public speaking, focus, teamwork, and feedback.
• Administer Test2Pass mastery assessments and ensure students meet proficiency standards before advancing.
• Maintain high student trust so accountability feels motivating.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic about holding every student to 100% of their goals.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, data‑driven environment.
• Fluent in Spanish is helpful but not mandatory.
• No formal teaching certification required.

Required skills

• Proficiency with adaptive learning platforms and analytics dashboards.
• Ability to facilitate experiential, improv‑style workshops.
