WordPress Developer (Porto)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced WordPress Developer to join our Porto team. You will work on a major upgrade of our content‑managed websites, rewriting and modernising multiple external communication sites for various business units.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate into a multidisciplinary team to upgrade existing WordPress sites.
• Rewrite and enhance external communication websites across several branches.
• Maintain and update current sites and related business applications.
• Develop custom WordPress plugins and themes as required.
• Ensure smooth deployment and performance on cloud platforms.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience in web development.
• Strong expertise with WordPress setup, administration, and maintenance.
• Proficiency in PHP (Laravel, Zend) and MySQL.
• Solid knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript (jQuery) and front‑end frameworks such as Bootstrap.
• Experience with custom WordPress plugin and theme development.
• Familiarity with Bash scripting and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Fluent English communication skills.
