VAT Compliance Consultant – German Speaking

About the role

We are looking for a German‑speaking VAT Compliance Consultant to provide advice and support to a diverse portfolio of clients operating across multiple jurisdictions. The consultant will help clients navigate VAT legislation, prepare and submit VAT returns, and maintain ongoing relationships with tax authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Identify client business models and transaction flows to ensure timely and accurate VAT compliance.
• Analyse client‑provided VAT data, prepare and validate VAT declarations for each relevant country.
• Act as primary point of contact for clients, delivering reports and advisory communications.
• Liaise with tax authorities on behalf of clients, handling information requests and audit responses.
• Support senior consultants and managers with complex client issues.
• Monitor VAT registration and deregistration processes across jurisdictions.
• Research and update internal VAT knowledge database.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Management, Economics or a related field.
• Fluent written and spoken German and English; additional languages are a plus.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to communicate complex tax information clearly.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Effective internet navigation and online research capabilities.
