Underwriting Senior Director

About the role

Triple‑S is seeking a strategic leader to head its Underwriting department. As Underwriting Senior Director you will shape underwriting strategy, drive operational efficiency, and safeguard the company’s financial health across its commercial portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Provide the commercial market leadership team with analysis to support operational, financial and strategic decisions.
• Plan, organize and control underwriting processes, ensuring adherence to sound underwriting principles.
• Develop, implement and monitor underwriting guidelines, policies and procedures to standardize operations.
• Maintain underwriting dashboards and forecasts to inform pricing, budgeting and strategic planning.
• Perform ad‑hoc analysis, prepare presentations and lead pricing discussions for senior leadership.
• Ensure compliance with federal and local regulatory requirements and manage internal controls.
• Lead, coach and develop the underwriting team, monitoring performance and recommending personnel actions.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Risk Management or a related field with at least five years of relevant experience, or a bachelor’s degree with ten years of experience.
• Minimum five years of management experience in underwriting or related risk functions, demonstrating increasing responsibility.
