Trainee Lawyer – Full‑time, On‑site in Lisbon

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Trainee Lawyer to join our ERG Family Office & Legal team in the Lisbon Metropolitan Area. This full‑time, on‑site position offers the opportunity to work closely with senior lawyers across corporate, commercial and private client matters, gaining hands‑on experience in a professional environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support senior lawyers in preparing, reviewing and organising legal documents, contracts and opinions.
• Conduct legal research, analyse legislation, case law and draft memoranda, summaries and client communications.
• Assist in the preparation of client presentations, reports and participate in client meetings under supervision.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, maintaining accurate case files and records.
• Apply firm procedures, comply with ethical and regulatory standards and contribute to a collaborative work culture.

Required profile

• Law degree (LL.B or equivalent) with eligibility or intention to register with the relevant bar association.
• Fluency in Portuguese and strong written and spoken English; additional languages are a plus.
• High ethical standards, discretion and respect for confidentiality.

Required skills

• Proficiency with standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
• Experience using legal research tools.
• Comfort with digital document management systems.
