Thermal Printing Machine Operator

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Thermal Printing Machine Operator to join our production team in Porto, Portugal. The successful candidate will operate and maintain thermal printing equipment, including CAB printers and ultrasonic cutters, to produce high‑quality care‑labels. The role demands technical expertise, attention to detail and the ability to keep production running smoothly and on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Operate CAB thermal printers and adjust settings for different materials and designs.
• Use Nicelabel software to manage label printing jobs.
• Run and maintain ultrasonic cutting machines to achieve precise label edges.
• Monitor production schedules, manage raw‑material inventory and report shortages.
• Perform routine cleaning and preventive maintenance on printers and cutters.
• Inspect finished labels for accuracy, quality and consistency, and address any defects.
• Follow health and safety policies, ensuring a safe working environment.

Required profile

• Proven experience operating thermal printers (e.g., CAB) and ultrasonic cutting machines.
• Familiarity with production workflows and quality‑assurance standards.
• Strong technical and mechanical aptitude with basic troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
• Good communication skills and fluency in Portuguese; English is a plus.
