Test Manager (French Speaker)

About the role

Aubay Portugal is looking for an experienced Test Manager who is fluent in French and English to lead testing activities for complex projects in banking, insurance, telecom and energy sectors. You will be responsible for the full test lifecycle, from scoping to delivery, ensuring high‑quality outcomes for critical systems used by millions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of test projects, including budget forecasting, cost control, quality monitoring and timeline tracking.
• Define and design test strategies, levels and types, organise workshops and gather user input.
• Identify, monitor and report test‑related risks, and define corrective action plans.
• Lead test execution phases, coordinate user participation, ensure compliance, register results and manage defects.
• Plan resources, allocate work and prioritise tasks for the test team.
• Provide end‑to‑end support from initial scoping through project closure.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience as a Test Manager, preferably in a senior role.
• Fluent in French and English (mandatory).
• Strong understanding of test methodology principles; ISTQB certification is a plus.
• Experience in testing applications for life‑insurance or banking products is desirable.
• Alignment with corporate values of integrity, ethics and customer focus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Jira for test management.
• ISTQB certification (or equivalent test‑methodology knowledge).
