About the role

The Mental Health Technician is an integral member of the treatment team at First Hospital Panamericano. You will provide support to multidisciplinary staff and conduct continuous behavioral observation of patients throughout their treatment.

Key responsibilities

• Support other team disciplines by providing direct assistance during patient care.
• Observe and document patient behavior continuously during treatment sessions.
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.
• Collaborate with clinicians to relay observations that inform care plans.

Required profile

• High school diploma (Bachillerato), preferably in Psychology, Social Work, or related fields.
• Current CPR certification.
• Empathetic approach with strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts.
• Compliance with seasonal influenza and COVID‑19 vaccination requirements.
• Valid Puerto Rico driver’s license.
