Technical Business Analyst – Core Banking Platform (Lisbon)

About the role

We are seeking a Technical Business Analyst to join an international squad that focuses on a specific Core Banking domain. The role blends business analysis with hands‑on development, allowing you to contribute across the full software development lifecycle while receiving comprehensive training on Avaloq functional and technical concepts.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyse requirements.
• Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications.
• Design and propose IT solutions together with development teams and solution architects.
• Develop and maintain business functionalities using Avaloq Script.
• Perform code reviews, unit and integration testing, and support UAT/FAT.
• Document test scenarios, validation criteria, and participate in solution reviews.
• Contribute to automation initiatives and overall quality improvements.

Required profile

• Experience in software development using any programming language.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and experience with code reviews.
• Familiarity with unit and/or integration testing.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
• Experience with Git or other version‑control systems.
• Proficiency with IDEs such as Eclipse, IntelliJ, VS Code or similar.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Fluent English.
