Tax Senior Specialist

About the role

EDP’s Global Tax Hub is seeking a Tax Senior Specialist to support strategic tax planning, transaction structuring and tax optimisation across the Group, with a focus on North American jurisdictions and transversal projects. The role will work closely with local tax teams and external advisors to ensure compliance and drive value‑adding tax initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in M&A transactions, providing tax structuring, due diligence and risk assessment.
• Lead cross‑border tax planning initiatives and develop the Group’s tax policy.
• Support corporate restructuring, operational structuring and tax optimisation projects.
• Analyse international tax aspects such as permanent establishment risks, withholding tax and treaty applications.
• Provide technical tax support to business units, coordinate external advisors and assist with tax reporting packages.

Required profile

• Degree in Economics, Business, Taxation or a related field.
• 5‑8 years of corporate tax experience with international exposure.
• Experience with North American tax matters is a plus.
• Advanced written and spoken English.
• Strong analytical, autonomous and detail‑oriented work style.
