System Administrator – Distributed Cloud (Hybrid)

About the role
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Linux System Administrator to join our teams. The professional will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of our information systems, playing a crucial role in the maintenance and evolution of our technological infrastructure.
Key responsibilities
- Administer and maintain the server infrastructure (physical and virtual), operating systems, networks, and applications, ensuring proper functioning and availability.
- Participate in the implementation, configuration, and optimization of new systems and technologies, following best practices and security standards.
- Implement and monitor alert systems to proactively identify and resolve performance, capacity, and security issues.
- Diagnose and resolve Level 2 and 3 incidents, collaborating with other teams and vendors to ensure business continuity.
- Develop and implement automation scripts to optimize routine tasks and improve process efficiency.
- Implement and maintain security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
- Create and maintain detailed technical documentation about the infrastructure, processes, and procedures.
- Collaborate with technical and non‑technical teams, communicating clearly about technical issues.
- Participate in system implementation and upgrade projects from planning through delivery and follow‑up.
Required profile
- Proven experience in system administration, including server, network, and application management.
- Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems.
- Experience with virtualization tools such as VMware or Hyper‑V.
- Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
- Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell, especially Shell scripting) for task automation.
- Experience with system monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus).
- Knowledge of configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
- Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with data backup and recovery tools and information security practices.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written) and good communication and teamwork skills.
