Supply Chain Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Supply Chain Manager to lead the end‑to‑end supply chain function for our large‑scale international manufacturing plant in Porto. Reporting to the Plant General Manager, you will be responsible for aligning production planning, demand management and S&OP with business objectives to ensure optimal inventory and high customer service levels.

Key responsibilities

• Lead production planning, demand forecasting and S&OP activities.
• Align manufacturing capacity with customer demand and business forecasts.
• Optimise inventory levels while maintaining strong customer service.
• Oversee procurement, supplier performance and material availability.
• Support warehousing, distribution and transportation efficiency.
• Monitor key supply chain KPIs and drive performance improvements.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain function.
• Manage, coach and develop the local supply chain team.
• Collaborate closely with manufacturing, commercial and corporate stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong background in planning, forecasting, MRP and S&OP.
• Proven experience leading and developing teams.
• Hands‑on leadership style with the ability to operate close to the manufacturing floor.
• Fluent in Portuguese and English.
• Experience in FMCG or other fast‑paced production environments is a plus.
