Supervisory Border Patrol Agent – Reemployed Annuitant

About the role

The U.S. Border Patrol is seeking experienced retired agents to return as Supervisory Border Patrol Agents on a re‑employed annuitant basis. You will protect the nation’s borders, enforce immigration laws, and lead field operations across designated sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Detect, question, and apprehend individuals suspected of violating immigration and customs laws.
• Conduct surveillance and interdiction operations using infrared scopes and other detection equipment.
• Interpret tracks, marks, and physical evidence of illegal entry or contraband.
• Perform farm, building, traffic, city, and transportation checks, as well as patrols of international boundaries and coastal waterways.
• Utilize a variety of CBP assets, including vehicles, horses, vessels, watercraft, off‑road vehicles, and ATVs.

Required profile

• Retired U.S. Border Patrol Agent with a clean service record.
• Eligibility for a dual compensation waiver to retain full retirement annuity and salary.
• Willingness to work in any of the listed USBP sectors and to relocate as needed.
