Strategic Sourcing Leader

About the role

The Strategic Sourcing Leader will drive sourcing initiatives across multiple business units, facilities, and spend categories. This role partners with Operations, Engineering, Finance, Logistics, and Supply Chain teams to maximize value, reduce cost, and mitigate risk.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategic sourcing for direct and indirect materials, MRO, services, and project purchases.
• Manage RFQ/RFP processes, supplier evaluations, competitive bidding, and negotiations.
• Identify and implement cost‑reduction, cost‑avoidance, and working‑capital improvement opportunities.
• Develop sourcing strategies aligned with operational, financial, and continuity objectives.
• Build and maintain relationships with domestic and international suppliers.
• Analyze spend data to find consolidation, standardization, and savings opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on new projects and business growth.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement in quality, delivery, and cost competitiveness.
• Design risk‑mitigation and dual‑sourcing strategies to ensure supply continuity.
• Support inventory optimization, logistics efficiency, and Total Cost of Ownership initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years progressive experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or category management.
• Proven track record leading sourcing initiatives, supplier negotiations, and cost‑reduction programs.
• Fully bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• Knowledge of business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Strong analytical and project‑management capabilities.
