Strategic Global Buyer Senior

About the role

We are looking for a Strategic Global Buyer Senior to lead the development and execution of worldwide sourcing strategies for critical commodities at Siemens Gamesa. In this role you will align procurement activities with business objectives, ensure timely delivery across multiple sites, and mitigate supply‑chain risks.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement global sourcing strategies that support operational and financial goals.
• Identify, evaluate and manage relationships with key suppliers, negotiating contracts, pricing and commercial terms.
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering and Operations teams to guarantee that purchased parts and services meet required specifications and standards.
• Monitor supplier performance, track procurement metrics and generate analytical reports for senior management.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders such as finance, engineering and operations to synchronize procurement activities with overall business plans.

Required profile

• Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in global sourcing and procurement with a solid understanding of supply‑chain dynamics.
• Strong negotiation capabilities and ability to manage supplier relationships.
• Advanced proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
