Staff Engineer – Analog Design

About the role

Synopsys is looking for a Staff Engineer specialized in analog design to join its IP Group. You will work with cutting‑edge analog design tools and flows, helping to accelerate the development of high‑performance silicon chips.

Key responsibilities

• Perform analog design simulation and analysis using in‑development tools and flows.
• Provide feedback to internal tool teams to improve functionality and usability.
• Document methods, create training materials and clear documentation for internal designers.
• Enhance the efficiency of the analog design flow within the IP Group.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless integration and optimization of design tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with at least 3 years.
• Strong background in analog design for optimal power, performance, and area (PPA).
• Experience with analog layout parasitics for advanced nodes (FinFET, GAA).
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• Proactive problem‑solver who can work independently and produce clear documentation.

Required skills

• Analog design simulation using SPICE.
• Proficiency with Synopsys Custom Compiler and Cadence Virtuoso.
• AC, DC, Transient and Monte‑Carlo verification methodologies.
• EDA tools for schematic entry, physical layout, and design verification.
• Knowledge of analog layout parasitics in low‑nm technologies (FinFET, GAA).
