Sr. Associate, Clinical Applications Services & Support

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Senior Associate to provide clinical application services and support for its cataract and refractive surgical devices across Portugal. The role combines technical expertise with hands‑on training for surgeons and operating‑room teams to ensure safe and optimal patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver technical and clinical training to surgeons and OR staff on Alcon’s cataract and refractive surgical device products.
• Provide on‑site and remote clinical application support, including equipment and software upgrades, and document each site visit in the CRM system within 48 hours.
• Identify, report, and follow up on adverse events and device deficiencies in coordination with Medical Safety.
• Collaborate with Field Service Engineers and Sales Representatives to schedule training, support new installations, and troubleshoot clinical issues.
• Communicate product performance feedback to R&D and represent Alcon at medical congresses, conferences, wet‑labs, and convention demonstrations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree minimum.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably with an optometrist or orthoptist background.
• Fluent in Portuguese; English required, Spanish preferred.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of Alcon cataract and refractive suites, including ATIOLs.
• Ability to train surgeons and OR personnel and convey complex technical information clearly.
• Experience using CRM reporting tools and adhering to medical safety and compliance protocols.
