Sourcing Director – European IT Procurement

About the role

IQVIA is seeking a Sourcing Director to lead IT procurement initiatives across Europe. You will drive strategic sourcing, manage vendor relationships, and deliver cost‑saving opportunities while ensuring compliance with global purchasing policies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead corporate and departmental quality and process improvement projects related to purchasing.
• Develop and implement regional purchasing strategies aligned with global objectives.
• Manage end‑to‑end procurement projects, including budgeting, resource planning, milestones, and success metrics.
• Prepare and present purchasing recommendations, conduct benchmarking, and issue competitive RFPs.
• Collaborate with senior business unit leaders to align procurement priorities, identify budget reduction opportunities, and support stakeholder business plans.
• Oversee creation of purchasing plans, vendor management programs, and change initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5–10 years of experience in IT sourcing across hardware, software, and cloud categories.
• Proven track record of delivering cost‑saving initiatives.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to lead, influence, and motivate cross‑functional teams.
