Solution Architect

About the role

Springer Nature’s SN Digital department is seeking a Solution Architect to provide holistic technical leadership across its global digital product portfolio. You will work closely with engineering leaders, product teams, and stakeholders to shape a unified architecture practice and drive shared capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Map the existing architecture of historically independent technology groups.
• Analyse current capability gaps and define a clear vision and roadmap for solutions architecture.
• Establish and champion technical standards, best practices, and ways of working.
• Lead the implementation and evolution of architectural solutions across multiple locations.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver sustainable, innovative solutions.
• Mentor engineers and help grow an engineering community within SN Digital.

Required profile

• Proven experience in software development.
• Solid understanding of software and system architecture concepts.
• Proactive, autonomous problem‑solver with a passion for continuous learning.
• Strong mentoring mindset and a collaborative attitude.
