Software Project Manager – eBike

About the role

As a Software Project Manager for eBike solutions at Bosch Group, you will lead the delivery of annual software releases that power next‑generation electric bicycles. You will work closely with development, testing and leadership teams to ensure high‑quality, on‑time releases that meet market and customer expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and drive the end‑to‑end delivery of eBike software releases, translating high‑level requirements into actionable work packages.
• Create realistic project plans in collaboration with developers and team leads, balancing development, testing and system integration timelines.
• Steer agile workflows using Kanban in Jira, prioritising and tracking tasks to maintain transparency across the development lifecycle.
• Manage software delivery for prototype and pre‑development phases, aligning multiple software domains such as base software, applications and motor control.
• Act as the central interface between development, testing and leadership teams to ensure alignment and shared goals.
• Identify risks, dependencies and conflicts early, working cross‑functionally – including with production – to resolve issues.
• Take ownership of project streams in coordination with global project teams, driving results from concept to release.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, Business Informatics or a comparable technical field.
• Proven experience in software project management, preferably in embedded systems, automotive or a high‑tech environment.
• Strong understanding of software development processes and product lifecycle management.
