Software Engineer - Microservices (m/f/d)

About the role

SOFICO is looking for a Software Engineer specialized in microservices to help expand and enhance the Miles Enterprise platform. You will work in a collaborative, international team based in Porto, delivering cloud‑native, secure solutions for mobility, leasing and fleet management.

Key responsibilities

• Translate domain models into microservice architectures using domain‑driven design.
• Collaborate with internal API consumers and integrate external systems.
• Develop scalable, cloud‑native services with CI/CD, containerization and automated testing.
• Apply a security‑first mindset throughout the Secure Software Development Life Cycle.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of backend engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency with Java (Java 17, preferably Java 21).
• Experience building RESTful APIs within microservice architectures.
• Fluent English communication skills.

• Docker, Kubernetes, Postman
• CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
• Knowledge of NoSQL datastores (bonus)
