Software Engineer – Microservices (Java)

About the role

Join SOFICO’s Porto team as a Software Engineer focused on microservices. You will help expand the Miles Enterprise platform, delivering scalable, cloud‑native solutions that power global mobility, leasing and fleet operations.

Key responsibilities

• Translate domain models into microservice architectures using a domain‑driven design approach.
• Design, develop and maintain RESTful APIs within a microservice ecosystem.
• Implement secure, production‑ready features following the Secure Software Development Life Cycle (SSDLC).
• Collaborate with internal API consumers and integrate external systems.
• Apply modern DevOps practices such as CI/CD, containerization and automated testing.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of backend engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java (Java 17, preferably Java 21).
• Experience building scalable microservice solutions.
• Fluent English communication skills.
